Public schools on Wake County's traditional calendar will be ending this week, heralding the beginning of summer camp season in Raleigh! The City of Oaks Foundation will be providing over $20,000 in financial aid to under-resourced families to help their children get outside this summer and build connections to nature in active, outdoor summer camps.
Raleigh Environmental Awards & Grant Winners Announced
The 10th Annual Raleigh Environmental Awards were held April 25th, 2017, recognizing outstanding environmental stewardship in our community. In addition, special mini-grants were awarded to innovative urban agriculture projects in Raleigh, and contest winners were announced in student competitions to design public service announcements about protecting our water quality and to design unique fashions from recycled and re-purposed materials.
