The City of Oaks Foundation would like to extend its sincere condolences to the surviving family of Mary Coker Joslin, who died on Monday, June 13, 2016, in the Raleigh home where she lived for 65 years. Mrs. Joslin and her husband William, were instrumental in the creation of the City of Oaks Foundation, through which they leave behind the beautiful Joslin Garden as part of their legacy for future generations.

This City of Oaks Foundation is pleased to announce its sponsorship of “Bike Workshop 101”, a cycling education program for youth organized at the John Chavis Center by Raleigh Parks, Recreation and Cultural Resources, in partnership with the Active Routes to School Project (Region 5), Wake County Human Services, Raleigh’s Bicycle & Pedestrian program, and Wake County 4-H Youth Development.
Urban Agriculture Grant Winners Announced at 2016 Raleigh Environmental Awards Program
The City of Oaks Foundation was honored to present Urban Agriculture Awards to seven local grant recipients as part of the 2016 Raleigh Environmental Awards Program. The event, hosted by the City of Raleigh’s Office of Sustainability and the Raleigh Environmental Advisory Board was held April 21, 2016 at the Glenwood Club in Raleigh.
