Volunteers needed for trail and garden restoration!
On August 29th, join City of Raleigh Parks Staff as we help with trail maintenance at the Joslin Garden. This property has trails running through unique gardens and is one of our more physically demanding projects we offer.
Volunteer Duties: We will be using pitchforks, wheelbarrows and hard rakes to spread wood chips along the trails. We may even collect sticks to help define some areas of the trails better.
Volunteer Impact: By defining the trails we are ensuring that patrons will have a safe and enjoyable experience when they explore the Joslin Property during the Open Garden Days and other events / programs.
Volunteer Requirements: You must be at least 12 years old to volunteer. If under 15, then a parent or guardian will need to register to volunteer with you. All volunteers will need to complete a volunteer release form (for volunteers under the age of 18 a parent/guardian will need to sign the volunteer form).
