For every $5 you contribute to the City of Oaks Foundation to support the Carol Moore Professional Development Scholarship, you will receive a ticket to the Belk Charity Sale on Saturday, November 5, 2016 6AM-10AM at Crabtree Valley Mall!
Purchase a Ticket
You can purchase a ticket with cash or check at the City of Oaks Foundation office in the Parks, Recreation & Cultural Resources Department, in Suite 608 of the Raleigh Municipal Building (please call ahead at 919-998-4773 to make sure someone is here), or you can mail a check or pay by credit card online and then pick the tickets up from our office before Saturday, November 5.
About Belk Charity Sale
The Charity Sale features prices lower than Belk’s Black Friday sale and only ticketed shoppers get admittance to this sale, which provides savings up to 70% on rarely discounted items! The first 100 customers at the sale will be given a gift card valued from $5 to $1000. At least three $1000 cards will be given away. Further, your $5 ticket may be redeemed for $5 off of your first purchase at the sale! Only one ticket may be used per person, but you may purchase tickets for yourself or any friends and family members.
About the Carol Moore Professional Development Scholarship
Carol Moore is often described as curious, committed, passionate, dedicated, humble, giving, and feisty! She has been recognized as a City of Raleigh Employee of the Year, the News and Observer Tar Heel of the Week, the Southern Network NRPA Distinguished Professional award, and most recently she received the North Carolina Recreation Parks Association Fellow award, the highest professional recognition bestowed by this association.
In honor of Carol’s tireless advocacy for continuous professional growth for all Parks, Recreation and Cultural Resources full-time staff, the City of Raleigh and the City of Oaks Foundation have created a professional development scholarship fund has been created to extend her legacy of encouragement of and support for staff.
